Your dog will live in the trainer’s home as part of our daily routine — not kept in a kennel. (Guidelines follow according to the owner’s schedule if crating is needed) We combine structured home living with real-world outings to dog-friendly businesses and parks (not dog parks) so your dog learns to behave calmly and confidently in everyday life.

⚡ E-collars should only be used when properly trained by a professional. Used correctly, they create freedom and clear communication.

Going Away? We’ve Got You Covered!
If your dog has trained with us before, we offer a one-week refresher on obedience and e-collar work (if your dog has been trained on an e-collar). This can be done at our facility or right in your home while you're away, giving you peace of mind knowing your dog is safe and in a familiar environment.

Our two-week Obedience Train & Board is an intensive lifestyle program where your dog lives and trains with us 24/7. This immersive experience provides the consistency and structure needed to accelerate learning and reinforce balanced behavior.
We specialize in state-of-the-art, low-level, communication-style E-Collar training. Our E-Collar program is personalized. Contemporary E-Collar Training utilizes the softest, most gentle remote communication, and is one of the most humane and effective approaches to dog training available.
Our program uses soft uses a new and improved way of soft humane language of communicating with your dog to create a clear and gentle approach.

Board & Train Policy
Pick-Up & Drop-Off
- Clients (owners) are responsible for dropping off and picking up their dog unless other arrangements have been made.
- If someone other than the owner is picking up the dog must have a writen consent from the owner.
Payment & Reservation at the time of booking to secure your dog's reservation.
- Deposit of 50% when book your board & train
- Payments can be made via Venmo, Zelle, Cash or Check. Fee of 3.9% charged for credit cards.
Waivers & General Policies
DePaul K9 Academy is committed to providing a safe and structured training environment. However, owners must acknowledge that:
- All animals may exhibit unpredictable behaviors. While we take every precaution, DePaul K9 Academy is not liable for actions outside of our control.
- Kennel Safety: Owners agree to allow random stool samples to ensure a safe environment.
- Training Equipment: Owners must purchase the necessary training tools, including:

- E-Collars (E-Collar Technologies) ($179-$225)

Liability & Indemnity
- Owners agree to hold DePaul K9 Academy harmless from any claims, injuries, or damages occurring outside of our direct supervision.
- Owners acknowledge that training involves physical activity, and minor scrapes or bruises may occur.
- Owner signs a veterinary release
- Board and Train contract
Payment & Cancellation Policy
- Full payment is required at the time of booking for private one on one sessions. Board & Train Programs 50% required at time of booking, balance due when dog is dropped off.
- If a client chooses to discontinue training after receiving 50% of the services, no refund will be issued.
- Board and Train clients must notify DePaul K9 Academy 4 weeks prior to cancellation to receive a refund.
- If DePaul K9 Academy determines that a client is not following training advice, we reserve the right to cancel the contract and issue a partial refund.
Photo & Video Release
- By participating in training, you grant DePaul K9 Academy permission to use photos/videos of your dog for training and promotional purposes.
- No compensation will be provided for the use of these materials.
Physical Activity & Environment
Options for Board & Train:
- At Our Facility: Your dog will stay in our home, not an outdoor kennel.
- At Your Home: If you’re away on vacation or business, we can offer to stay in your home for training if schedule allows.
Please note:
- Dogs will engage in outdoor activities and socialization, which may result in minor scratches or wear and tear.
- Our facility is designed with safety and cleanliness in mind, but owners accept that minor incidents can occur.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off Guidelines
Arrival & Safety Precautions
- Dogs must arrive on a secure leash and collar that prevents slipping.
- Owners must maintain control of their dog during hand-off to prevent accidental escapes.
The Hand-Off Process
- To ensure a smooth transition, owners should not:
- Hug, kiss, or use high-pitched voices when dropping off their dog.
- Overexcite their dog before leaving.

Follow-Up Lessons & Transition Home
To ensure a successful transition back home, we provide:
- 1-hour session for 7-day Board & Train
